Those of you whose web site uses a dark background may be interested in downloading the newly released configuration pack that adapts exposé for exactly such a scenario. Before installing the pack you might to back up your existing exposé files, but the update should be easy and painless (all you have to do is replace your existing files with the ones in the ZIP download). As some users found out, the latest release of exposé had an issue with the playback of videos. The problem lies in the value of the baseVideoURL parameter in expose.html. It was originally set to img/ when it should have been expose/img/. The new download includes this fix (if you have already downloaded the original, you can easily fix the problem by editing your copy of expose.html). exposé 4.6 is out
The new version implements many of the feature requests I've received in the mail or in the forums. Some of the more prominent new functions:
Download the new version from the trinkets page. New exposé 4.6 will be CJK friendly
Because embedding CJK (Chinese, Japanese, and Korean) fonts isn't practical (the resultant fonts file ends up several megabytes large), I've added support for system fonts to the upcoming exposé 4.6. This will make it possible to display CJK text without a bandwidth penalty; on the other hand, it also means that text which uses system fonts will appear aliased (it won't appear smooth). You can see how it will look here. Please, excuse the gibberish -- I used Google's language tools to translate some of the interface text. Moreover, I've made the new Album Manager for PHP fully localizable as well (this includes CJK text).
